Have a listen to a city. Does the city sound like noise, sound, or music?
Listening to the city is having a listen to a part of the images that human or objects would existentially and/or ideologically experience through the city. A listener would not be able to listen to the entire city all at once.
Putting some sounds in the city is to blend sounds with everyday lives as a soft way of tactical intervention into cities. That means indeterminate promise that people might hear or not.
Urban composition does not have any shapes and cosists of every sound that a flaneur would/might hear, sonic images and memories that would/might be intrigude by urban experiences, and the relational sum of them
Urban experiences rely on subjective perspective. Similarly, sonic experiences are truly personal and context-based: In what situation, how, and what do you listen to?
The city itself is an endless ambient music generated by/through the city.
Music and cities, these two different things are homogenously complex: a listener can not hear the entire city as a human living in the city never understand the whole phenomena of the city. Situations would let urban/sonic experiences totally different. In addition, music and cities change based on the subject and the object.
8. Juxtapose various urban sounds. Let those sounds blend each other. Sometimes they resonate, sometime play dissonance. Noise might be heard as sound, the sound might be listened to as music coincidentally, and the music finally goes back to the city as noise. The city is looking for a moment that it could become music.
